A Vacancy at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
We are looking for a keen registered Pharmacy Technician who will be able to work independently and as part of a team to support within the Central Pharmacy Stores with leading automations and supporting day to day operations of Central Pharmacy.
Responsibilities
* Line manage Pharmacy Assistants and support with day to day running of the department working closely alongside the Principal Pharmacy Technician to maintain KPI's and promote Good Distribution Practice (GDP) at all times.
* Maintain inventory and space as part of automation, supporting stock holding and workflow of medicines distributed to wards and outside units in a timely manner.
* Assist the Principal Technician – Purchasing, Supply and Logistics - Pharmacy to manage the daily requirements of the automated stock system (Robot) and the associated processes.
* Support the Senior Pharmacy Technician - CPSD Team Leaders with leading and line managing a team of Pharmacy Assistants in all areas and assist with referrals of complex service delivery problems.
* Coordinate training provided to the Stores and Distribution team, to colleagues, rotational staff and Pharmacy Trainees as required.
* Assist Principal Technician – Purchasing, Supply and Logistics - Pharmacy by actively working towards maintaining key performance targets and monitoring quality of service provided.
* Assist Principal Technician – Purchasing, Supply and Logistics - Pharmacy in ensuring GDP training is delivered and recorded for each member of the Stores and Distribution, rotational staff and Pharmacy Trainees as required.
* Be a key contact to communicate effectively with colleagues, wider pharmacy team and service users for updates on the automated system.
