Main duties of the job
* Provide high-quality primary care services and specialist interventions for offenders at HMP Exeter.
* Deliver clinical care within the Integrated Healthcare Service, demonstrating expert clinical skills and evidence-based practice.
* Carry out duties including reception screening, emergency response, long-term conditions management, clinics, assessment, diagnostics, and health promotion.
* Support junior colleagues and coordinate healthcare team activities.
* Work in a 24/7 healthcare environment, including nights and weekends occasionally.

Job Responsibilities
Exercise autonomy, plan and reach complex judgments, deliver high-quality clinical care, support evidence-based practice, supervise junior staff, and ensure safety and compliance within a prison setting.
Person Specification
Qualifications: Registered General Nurse, Post Graduate Qualification or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum two years at Band 5, interest or experience in prison/offender healthcare, multi-professional collaboration.
Skills: Effective communication, leadership, decision-making.
Additional Requirements
Willingness to undertake National Security Vetting, provide proof of right to work, address history, and possibly police certificates if applicable. Must hold current UK professional registration.
