Overview
Stantec Warrington, United Kingdom. We are seeking Senior Project Managers with experience in the Energy sector to join us in the UK. This role involves involvement in a wide variety of projects across technical disciplines for clients across the country, including energy from waste, solar, interconnectors, windfarms, substations, OHL, energy building design, protection systems, LVAC, pump stations, and more.
You will join a growing, collaborative team and work with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver innovative and sustainable projects addressing industry-wide efficiency and environmental challenges. This is an opportunity to play an important part in the U.K. energy transition.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage projects through the full lifecycle from planning and budgeting to execution and closeout; lead high-performing project teams and foster collaboration and clear communication.
* Engage with internal and external stakeholders; ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high quality standard.
* Identify and mitigate risks; manage project budgets and resources effectively.
* Coordinate with Project Managers on proposals, change orders, status reports, financial updates and forecasting; ensure effective project setup and financial monitoring.
* Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams and NEC contracts understanding to support energy/engineering consultancy projects.
About You
* Degree in a relevant field; APMP qualifications would be advantageous.
* Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
* Experience in project management within the energy/engineering consultancy sector, including project setup, financial monitoring, and coordination with PMs.
* Experience with NEC contracts is essential.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, multi-team environment; attention to detail; initiative in problem detection and resolution; effective verbal and written communication; ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
