Special Needs Teaching Assistant - Key Stage 2
Croydon | April 13th Start | Full Time
Reeson Education is working in partnership with a supportive and inclusive primary school in Croydon seeking a committed Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join their Key Stage 2 team from 13th April.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced SEN practitioner who is confident supporting pupils with additional needs within a mainstream KS2 setting. The role will involve providing 1:1 and small group support, helping pupils access the curriculum and promoting positive engagement and independence.
The successful candidate will:
1. Have prior experience supporting pupils with special educational needs in a UK primary school
2. Be confident working within Key Stage 2
3. Support pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH or speech and language needs
4. Implement behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies effectively
5. Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver targeted interventions
6. Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply)
7. Have up-to-date safeguarding training or be willing to complete this
