A fantastic opportunity has arisen within a highly respected, UK leading firm with expertise in building acoustics and energy, with a number of offices spanning the UK and abroad. This successful organisation is looking to recruit a highly skilled Acoustic Consultant to complement a team of noise specialists in their office based in Leeds and contribute to a challenging range of projects in both public and private sectors.
Qualifications
* Preferably MSc/BSc in Acoustics/ Noise and Vibration
* AMIOA
Experience
* Acoustic consultancy experience in the field of Environmental and/or Building Acoustics
* Technically competent and IT proficient
* Good communication and client liaison skills
* Extensive and detailed understanding of sound insulation testing
* Highly organised and IT literate
Duties
* Measurement surveys and reporting
* Providing a solution in line with noise control and insulation
* Prediction and measurement of transportation noise
* Planning conditions – compliance and negotiation
* Noise Impact Assessments (including Environmental Impact Assessment)
* Liaise with consultants, engineers and architects
* Writing high quality reports
* Industrial and commercial noise control
* Consultation with Environmental Health Officers including advising on the appropriate use of planning conditions
* Undertake noise assessment site visits all over the UK
