About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager to join our rapidly growing FinTech and Payments Tax practice, with a pathway to progress to Tax Director. Based within PwC's Financial Services Tax team, this strategic role is designed to address immediate delivery capacity gaps while strengthening our long-term leadership pipeline.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in:
1. Leading delivery on direct tax projects and complex client engagements.
2. Building and maintaining strong client relationships across high-growth FinTech businesses and established financial institutions.
3. Driving business development to capture tax opportunities in a high-growth market with a significant cross-sell potential across PwC ( deals, transformation, legal, Execution Managed Services).
What your days will look like:
4. Deliver strategic tax advisory services to scale-ups, multinationals, and listed firms, guiding growth, M&A, and global expansion.
5. Provide expert FinTech tax insights, interpreting complex legislation across corporation tax, VAT, R&D, and more.
6. Lead and mentor high-performing teams, ensuring quality, compliance, and professional development.
7. Drive business growth through client engagement, cross-functional collaboration, risk management, and industry representation.
This role is for you if:
8. Professional tax qualification (, CTA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
9. Extensive post-qualification tax experience, with deep expertise in financial services and FinTech.
10. Proven success in managing complex tax projects and delivering client-focused solutions.
11. Strong communicator with the ability to simplify technical tax concepts for diverse audiences.
12. Skilled in leadership, team development, and driving business growth under pressure.
13. Passionate about helping clients achieve commercial goals through strategic, analytical, and practical tax advice.
