We have an opportunity for a Works Supervisor and Package Manager to join our team on The M6 Routine Operation & Maintenance project near Lockerbie. As a Major Maintenance Engineer, you will be a member of the contract team reporting to the Major Maintenance Manager.

Your profile
Responsibilities:
- Organise and coordinate logistical operations for major maintenance contracts, ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Liaise with Autolink and external organizations for inspections, maintenance, and upgrades.
- Manage and supervise work packages, including night and weekend shifts.
- Produce and implement Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and Inspection and Test Plans.
- Conduct site reviews prior to package commencement.
- Verify subcontractors’ CSCS and CPCS cards.
- Implement and monitor ITPs, checklists, and hold points.
- Participate in start-up and progress meetings.
- Manage subcontractors according to CMS requirements.
- Liaise with the Employer's Agent, statutory bodies, emergency services, and other third parties.
- Assist in compiling health and safety documentation.
- Ensure COSHH compliance.
- Maintain vehicle logs and ensure vehicle cleanliness and maintenance.
- Report and rectify H&S breaches immediately, documenting actions accordingly.
Essential Skills and Knowledge:
- Experience in Highways Maintenance sector.
- Knowledge of maintenance products, regulations, and standards.
- Familiarity with Insight, Highstone, IRIS, and SMS packages.
- Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Relevant Construction Skills Certificate Card.
