Key areas of focus of this role would be Front of Stack design and implementation, integration with engineering equipment, and being the first line of support for issues with existing deployed Gael Force Software. Role Highlights: As part of our dynamic Software Development team, you will work with Core-Application Suite and Machine Learning colleagues to create cutting-edge software solutions that integrate seamlessly with mechanical and electrical designs. Key Responsibilities: Answer questions and facilitate resolution of technical issues brought forth by the Service Engineers and Customers. Fault finding and resolution of software and automation on customer sites. Assisting in fault finding of client-sided network issues to ensure reliable operation of systems on customer sites. Integrate software solutions with mechanical and electrical designs to ensure complete design functionality of the over-all product, and where appropriate a simple User interface to optimise the User experience. Create innovative software products which will support Gael Force’s ambition to be market leaders in aquaculture solutions. Integrate software and hardware solutions through instrumentation, drives, PLC devices etc. Utilise experience in UI/UX for Front of Stack development Work with the Senior Software Developer and Digital Technology and Software Manager to roadmap for future software capability. Required Experience & Skills: Essential: Qualified to degree level, or equivalent qualification / experience in relevant software related discipline. Minimum of 5 years professional experience in software development (C++, C#, JavaScript, Python, and/or similar). Confidence in multiple Operating Systems, particularly Windows Desktop OS, Windows Server and Linux Experience in relational database design and SQL scripting Proven ability in User Interface design Knowledge of applicable technology frameworks (e.g. Unity, .NET Core, Blazer, REST API). Proven skills in the design, evaluation, testing and reporting in the field of software. Microsoft Office proficient. Ability to work independently and to problem solve. Strong time management and organisational qualities. Willingness to travel and work away from home. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively and take initiative under low levels of supervision Desirable: Knowledge / experience of aquaculture industry. Experience in development of SCADA systems. Experience of camera integration. Understanding of PLC technology and Ladder Logic. Experience of offshore environment. Knowledge of camera systems. Experience in software / mechanical interfacing.
