Overview
We are looking for a qualified Educational Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) or Children's Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP) to join an existing school-based Mental Health Support Team (MHST) in Stevenage.
Role Summary
The post-holder will work alongside qualified and trainee EMHPs, senior practitioners and a team leader. The team provides early interventions to children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health concerns in an educational setting.
The MHST operates year‑round. Core hours are Monday – Friday 9–5, with additional work during school holidays and for group workshops outside these times.
Responsibilities
Work with students from diverse cultural backgrounds, using interpreters when necessary, to support the team’s objectives and contribute to service development.
Qualifications
All applicants must be registered with a relevant governing body, such as BPS or BABCP.
