Centre Overview

We’re excited to announce the opening of our beautiful, purpose-built centre in St Albans, which officially opened its doors on the 6th of October! Designed for up to 130 children from birth to five years, our spaces inspire imagination, nurture curiosity, and support every stage of development.

Our passionate team is built on the values of connection, communication, and consideration. Led by an inspiring and experienced Centre Manager, you’ll be supported with ongoing opportunities for growth, learning, and development.

About the role

Permanent part-time opportunity across Monday to Friday.
In this role, you will foster strong, positive relationships with children, families, colleagues, and the wider community. You’ll play an active part in guiding children’s learning and development, while also building your own knowledge and career. Supported by your Centre Leadership Team, you’ll gain the confidence and skills to excel as an educator at Journey.


Key Responsibilities

* Ensure a high level of health & safety standards are maintained at all times
* Facilitate learning experiences for your allocated group of children
* Assisting in the observation and evaluation of children's individual strengths, interests and preferences
* Design and implement activities to be included in children's developmental program.
* Be part of a collaborative teaching and interactive learning environment


About you

You are a creative and passionate early childhood educator who thrives on creating engaging programs tailored to each age group. You work collaboratively and build warm, respectful relationships with children, families, and your team.


Key skills and requirements

* 5-day availability
* An ACECQA recognised Certificate III or higher
* Experience leading and developing age specific programs and routines
* An approved Working with Children Check
* Current Asthma, Anaphylaxis and First Aid Certificates
