Prime Life are on the lookout for passionate and dedicated care professionals to join our friendly team at Middlefield House as a Breakfast Assistant.
This role will be based at Middlefield House in Gainsborough. The home has been specially designed to cater to the every need of 18 residents, living with a range of physical disabilities, learning disabilities and mental health conditions that require dignified support from our caring team. It is essential that candidates for this role are therefore patient, understanding and respectful of our resident’s individual abilities.

Responsibilities of our Breakfast Assistant include:
* Setting up of dining area for breakfast service ie table clothes, place mats, cutlery.
* Setting up of breakfast trolley with breakfast food items.
* Assisting service users to eat breakfast. This could include serving breakfast food items to service users who can feed themselves to full assistance to feed a service user who cannot do this independently.
* To clear away breakfast pots and wash/put away.
* To maintain dignity and encourage independence.
* To follow safe nutrition and hydration policies/procedures and ensure care plans relating to nutrition and hydration are adhered to.
* To follow IDDSI framework.
What we’re looking for in our Breakfast Assistant:
To be successful within this role, you will have a genuine caring nature and a desire to make a real difference for our residents. Though prior experience in a care setting is desirable, this is not essential as full training is provided. Typically, our residents live with mental health conditions, learning disabilities and physical disabilities that require dignified support from our care team. It is essential that candidates for this role are therefore patient, understanding and respectful of our resident’s individual abilities.
