JOB TITLE: Casual Chef de Partie

HOURS: Variable
PAY: £13.68 per hour
CONTRACT: Casual - covering the festive period
REPORTS TO: Head Chef, Senior Sous Chef, Junior Sous Chef

The Trading Rooms at The Piece Hall are looking to employ a Chef de Partie on a casual basis over the festive period. We are looking for someone to support our established kitchen team Thursdays to Sundays in preparing food for the busy restaurant and our multi-use function suite - The Caygill Suite.
The role will include operating in a designated section of the kitchen, line cooking, food preparation, dish plating, and ensuring a safe working environment. You will need to keep your cooking station stocked, maintain excellent hygiene standards, maintain the established high quality of food, presentation and customer service, and co-ordinate efficiently with the restaurant and functions management teams.
The ideal candidate will have formal culinary training. You must have excellent food hygiene and allergens knowledge, and be able to provide us with a Level 2 Food Hygiene and Level One Food Allergens certificates. We are looking for someone who can hold a calm demeanour during periods of high volume, has the ability to stand for long periods of time, has the ability to work around, handle, operate and control hot equipment and products in a safe manner, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
