ProductLife Group is looking for an Accountant to join our Accounting department:
Group 10 Responsibilities:
1. Take ownership of reporting costs, productivity, margins and expenditures for companies and organizations.
2. Perform administrative tasks such as data gathering, balance sheet population or updating journal entries.
3. Utilizing hands-on accounting experience and an in-depth understanding of accounting principles and company practices, perform complex accounting activities and financial analyses.
4. Assist with financial and tax audits
5. Document and monitor internal controls in support of auditing team
6. Coordinate more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments
7. Ready and maintain financial and business transactions
8. Analyze the effects of transactions upon account relationships
9. Plan the manner in which account structures should be developed or modified
10. Consider the need for new or changed controls
11. Ensure the adequacy of the accounting system as the basis for reporting to management
12. Analyze complex financial reports and records
13. Review journal entries of junior accountants to ensure accuracy
14. Train and mentor junior staff
15. Perform variance analyses and prepare account reconciliations
16. Maintain the general ledger, prepare tax returns, assist with audit preparations, and perform other accounting duties as assigned
Group 10 Profile:
17. Minimum 3-5 years of general accounting experience, either in a public accounting firm/ private corporate environment or consultancy firms.
18. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, math, business administration, or a related field
19. Master’s degree in accountancy is required in many cases
20. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, not always mandatory, but having one could give you an edge
