Design Manager – Major Projects (Water Sector)
We are continuing our growth and are looking to appoint Design Managers to support major programmes across the South of England.

As a Design Manager within our Major Projects community, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of major projects, bringing together skillsets from multiple disciplines. You will oversee all aspects of delivery, holding roles that may include delivery of design & build projects, detailed design delivery and owners engineer services – all requiring complex multi‑disciplinary collaboration both internally and externally.
You will also identify innovative and sustainable solutions, work collaboratively with the client and other partner organisations, plan technical delivery, and lead multidisciplinary teams. You will lead the team to deliver best value and client service excellence, with access to Stantec’s world‑class expertise to help you exceed client expectations.
About You
* Prior experience in a role providing design leadership on major projects – e.g. Design Manager, Project Manager, Project Engineer or Project Leader.
* A technical background in engineering, construction management, environmental or related consulting disciplines.
* Qualifications in engineering or project management with an understanding of large and complex construction/engineering projects, particularly within the water or related infrastructure sectors.
* Experience acting as a trusted partner with clients and stakeholders, mentoring less experienced team members, and supporting company values such as putting people and clients first.
