We have an exciting opportunity as a Family Support Worker here in Bury Children’s Services. The post is a 37-hour permanent position on Grade 8.
Role Purpose
The purpose of the post is to work alongside the allocated Social Worker and multi-agency colleagues to support children, young people, and their families who are subject to care proceedings. This involves planning and supervising court-directed Family Time.
Additionally, the Victoria Children and Family Centre produces Life Story Books for children placed for adoption and delivers parenting group work for families across the Continuum of Need.
Candidate Profile
You will be part of a skilled, friendly, and supportive team, working closely with a wide range of professionals. The ideal candidate is organized, a good communicator, and has a sound knowledge of working with children, young people, and their families. We seek individuals with an excellent understanding of family work and experience working with people with adverse childhood experiences.
Position Details
This position is permanent, working 37 hours on a rota basis, which includes some evening and weekend work.
