We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Commis Chef with a strong passion for cooking and a clear ambition to progress into a Chef de Partie role. This position is ideal for someone eager to learn, grow, and take on more responsibility within a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist senior chefs in daily kitchen operations.
2. Prepare, cook, and present dishes to the required standards.
3. Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations.
4. Follow food hygiene, safety, and HACCP guidelines at all times.
5. Support with stock control, labeling, and rotation.
6. Learn and practice recipes, cooking techniques, and plating standards.
7. Shadow the Chef de Partie to develop skills for running a section independently.
8. Contribute to a positive and team-oriented kitchen culture.
Skills & Qualities
* Passion for food, creativity, and continuous learning.
* Basic knife skills and understanding of kitchen practices.
* Ability to work under pressure and follow instructions.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
* Willingness to train, take feedback, and develop into a Chef de Partie.
Requirements
* Previous kitchen experience (preferred but not essential).
* Strong interest in pursuing a professional chef career.

Salary: £12.21 – £13.21 hourly
