To support our ambitious growth plans we are now seeking a Head Of Data to be responsible for developing our data strategy and optimising the collection, management, production, quality and commercial value of all our data assets. This is a key new role within Defaqto and will suit an individual with the right balance of data, analytics and business acumen to ensure we continue to lead the market in using data to help everyone make smarter financial decisions. We will be particularly interested in candidates with experience of monetising data. The Role This role involves building strong relationships with internal teams in Product, Insight, Research, and Technology, and creating a comprehensive plan for data governance, standards, integration, and quality to enhance customer experience. You'll analyse existing data sources and processes, developing strategies for continuous optimization, and collaborate with Product and Insights teams to identify and implement new, valuable data sources. The role also requires building relationships with key external data suppliers, setting quality standards and SLAs, and ensuring they're met. You'll lead a team of data management professionals while ensuring the business stays abreast of market trends, evaluating new data sources, and optimizing data sets, taking into account factors like growth opportunities and brand value. What you'll need to succeed Demonstrable experience of developing and executing on data strategies that have driven real value in the organisations they serve. Highly analytical with a passion for drawing insight and opportunity from data. Experience working with and managing third party data providers. Strong communication skills and a solid track record of working across functions and managing wide stakeholder groups.
