We’re working with a growing infrastructure consultancy looking to appoint an additional Lead Project Planner to take ownership of planning across major UK infrastructure programmes.
This is a lead-level, client-facing role suited to an experienced planner who is comfortable owning programmes, advising clients, and influencing delivery, without the intensity of a full principal contractor environment.
The role
* Lead planning activities across major infrastructure projects operating under NEC4 contracts
* Develop, manage, and maintain programmes using Primavera P6, including cost-loaded schedules
* Own programme change, delay analysis, and impact assessments
* Produce clear, high-quality programme reporting and insight for senior stakeholders
* Work closely with delivery, commercial, and client teams to support successful outcomes
* Support risk identification, mitigation planning, and programme assurance
* Contribute to improving planning processes, standards, and best practice within the consultancy
About you
* Strong background in infrastructure or civil engineering planning
* Experience working for or closely alongside principal contractors
* Proven NEC4 contract knowledge
* Advanced Primavera P6 capability
* Confident operating in a client-facing, lead role
* Commercially aware and comfortable engaging at senior stakeholder level
