This is a full-time permanent position based out of their Leicester office.
Your new role
As Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in the pre-construction team, preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a variety of civil engineering and groundworks projects. Your responsibilities will include:
* Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documents to produce detailed cost estimates
* Gathering and analysing quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
* Assessing project risks and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
* Preparing bids and supporting tender submissions to secure new contracts
* Collaborating with project managers, engineers and clients to ensure estimates align with design and budget requirements.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will have:
* Experience estimating within civil engineering and/or groundworks
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Proficiency in estimating software (e.g. CostX, Bluebeam or similar tools)
* Sound negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills
* Full UK driving licence.
