Driver Hire Basingstoke & Newbury is seeking a dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team and work with a highly reputable client based in Hermitage, near Newbury. The Role: * Position: Class 2 Delivery Driver * Contract: Temp to Perm (12-week temporary period) * Start Time: Varies, but generally between 06:00 and 07:00 daily * Working Days: Monday to Friday * Shift Length: 8 hours per day * Responsibilities: Along with daily vehicle checks, you will be responsible for the safe delivery of a range of agricultural products to farms within the allocated area, working with the office and store teams to plan the best delivery route(s). Manual Handling, and Handballing, may be required at some locations to offload the delivery in the absence of farm staff. As deliveries may include a number of chemicals, a strong focus on Health & Safety is also required. Flexibility in working hours outside of peak periods, including overtime will be required, as well as assisting in all the site’s operational needs outside of peak times. Skills: * Excellent timekeeping and strong customer service abilities are required, as you will be the face of Driver Hire and the company. * A Good communicator with the ability to consult with all team members and site management team * Able to work under pressure and to deadlines whilst maintaining the company values * Adapts quickly and successfully to accommodate changing business and customer needs, whilst providing a responsive customer focussed service * Works to accommodate the seasonal nature of Frontier’s business * Adopts a customer first mindset while ensuring that compliance is always maintained that where relevant all internal procedures are always adhered to. * The ability to work collaboratively with others and to work without supervision What You Need: * Licence: Full up to date UK driving licence, with Cat C entitlement. * Certifications: You must have an up-to-date CPC card, and Digital Tacho. ADR certification is essential, but the successful candidate will be given ADR training during the temporary period if required. * Experience: Candidates must be over the age of 21, and have at least 2 years Cat C driving experience * Transport: Must have your own transport for commuting to work Why Work with Driver Hire Basingstoke & Newbury? * Competitive Pay: Competitive Pay: Basic annual salary of circa £29,500pa, with Holiday Pay added during the temporary period.
