The Role
To support a kind amazing 35‑year‑old lady with a diagnosis of Asperger’s, epilepsy and a degree of brain damage who struggles with her emotions and can be extremely challenging to participate in daily life and her keen interests of crafting.
Main Duties
* Crafting
* Puzzles
* Walks
* Gardening
* Epilepsy support (training will be given)
* Household tasks
* Food shopping
* Support to prepare a healthy cooked evening meal
* Prompting to shower and clean teeth
* Supporting to list meal ideas
Personal Qualities and Attributes required
* Respectful of confidentiality and privacy
* Responsible, reliable and trustworthy
* Respectful of dignity and independence
* Good communication and social skills
* Punctual, reliable and flexible
* Ability to work on your own initiative
* Understanding, adaptable and organised
* Car driver with driving licence to drive customer’s car with correct insurance in place
* Must have experience with Autism
Additional Information
This role may be subject to a DBS check; your employer may also ask you to supply references.
You must be able to prove the right to work in the UK. No sponsorships are available.
Schedule & Compensation
Hours: Live in carer – 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off.
Pay: £12.60 per hour between 8 am – 10 pm and £100.00 for sleeping night.
Job Type: Full time.
