What will the role look like?
The post holder is responsible to the CYP Senior Practitioner in relation to the performance of their day to day duties and for overall individual performance. The post holder will work closely with other members of the team. The Youth Work Team is part of Barca’s Children and Young People’s Service.
What we are looking for?
We are seeking to appoint a Youth Engagement Worker to join our Children and Young Person’s Service. Applicants will need to have experience in youth work delivery and demonstrate the confidence and ability to engage positively with groups of young people. The role will involve planning and delivering group work sessions in a variety of settings within local communities.
The post holder needs to be available on evenings between 4-9 to support with current youth work timetable.
The role will involve supporting lead workers with the planning and delivering of groups, activities and tailored packages of support. The role will require specific skills around organisation, creativity and building positive relationships with young people.
Hours and Salary
8 Hours Per Week. Applicants must be available between 2-3 evenings a week. Salary £25,878 – £27,000 pro-rata.
Requirements
Applicant must have youth work experience.
