Overview
SEN / SEND Tutor, Cambridgeshire role at TieTalent — Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) tutors for young people with SEN, SEND, SEMH, and other additional educational needs in Cambridgeshire. Multiple positions are available; hiring is ongoing to meet the needs we support.
We are on a mission to transform the quality of education for young people with SEN/SEND, including those with SEMH, MLD, and SLD. We are looking for SEN / SEND tutors who are passionate about transforming the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners in Cambridgeshire. At Targeted Provision our mission is to raise the standard of educational support for vulnerable young people, and you will be supported throughout placements by our team of SEN / SEND Support Specialists.
This role is ideal for qualified SEN / SEND teachers who want to work 1:1 with children and young people with diverse learning needs in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed approach to improve engagement and educational outcomes.

The SEN / SEND Tutor role
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other additional needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Support will be provided to these young people as they progress through their educational and social-emotional journey
* Deliver flexible, holistic, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
SEN / SEND Tutor tasks and responsibilities
* Plan each tutoring/mentoring session
* Provide holistic and engaging sessions that meet the young person’s needs and advance their educational and social-emotional journey
* Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on progress
SEN / SEND Tutor requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other additional needs
* Experience and understanding of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (assistance available to obtain at cost)
* Two professional references
* Based in the UK with right to work, including for remote/online assignments
It is a strict requirement that you promote health, safety, and wellbeing of children and follow safeguarding policies at all times.
SEN / SEND Tutor employment status
* Position engaged as a Worker for short-term engagements as they arise
* Contract for service; payment via PAYE
* No guaranteed hours or expenses coverage
* Insurance covers work with us
* Not a self-employed tutoring/teaching position
