Demand Planner (f/m/x)
The Impact You’ll Make in this Role:
As a Demand Planner for the Safety & Industrial Business Group supporting the EMEA region you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.
Here, you will make an impact by:
1. Maximizing the effectiveness of the statistical forecast by leveraging standard work, adjusting/cleansing historical demand determining appropriate aggregation for calculating the statistical forecast
2. Collaborating with Local- & European counterparts (i.e., Manufacturing / Supply Planners / IBP/Demand and Supply Managers / Portfolio Managers/Regional Business counterparts)
3. Maintaining demand planning parameters in Demand Planning tool
4. Optimizing statistical forecast in Demand Planning tool (SAP APO DP)
5. Collecting, assessing, and translating market intelligence input into demand plans
6. Supporting New Product Introductions, Area/Regional Demand Reviews and SKU & Portfolio Management
7. Being responsible for what-if simulations and analysis on Demand Management, supply chain optimization, improvement initiatives and project management initiatives
8. Managing complex business scenarios
9. Analyzing historical demand figures (Outliers errors) to derive future forecast figures based on them
10. Supporting the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) strategy
Your Skills and Expertise:
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who have the following qualifications:
11. Educated to Degree Level or equivalent - Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineer, IT or similar
12. Experience in planning or similar logistics role
13. Knowledge of Supply chain principles and inventory control, planning systems, forecasting techniques and statistics
14. Knowledge of demand and DRP planning tools as well as SAP experience (desirable)
15. Excellent Communication skills, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
16. Fluent in English - written and verbal
Additional knowledge / nice-to-have skills / preferred qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include
17. APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society) certified (Desirable)
18. SAP experience

19. Location Information - role can be located in either UK (commutable to Manchester), Germany (commutable to Neuss) or Italy (commutable to Pioltello)
20. Travel expectations - May include up to 10% domestic/international
