We are currently seeking an experienced Alternative Accounting Oversight Specialist to join a centralised Investment Accounting function within a leading asset management environment.
This role offers the opportunity to work across a broad range of fund structures, including alternative and complex products, supporting the integrity and accuracy of accounting data, enhancing oversight processes, and contributing to key regulatory and analytical reporting. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external service providers to ensure a consistent, risk-based approach to fund oversight.
The Role
As part of the Investment Accounting Oversight team, you will play a key role in establishing and strengthening the NAV oversight framework across a diverse fund range. You will be involved in implementing controls, enhancing processes, and providing technical and analytical support to the wider team.
Key Responsibilities
* Review and investigate NAV exceptions, identifying root causes and resolving discrepancies
* Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party administrators and internal stakeholders such as data management teams
* Analyse trends, highlighting emerging risks and areas for improvement
* Support the ongoing development and enhancement of the oversight framework
* Ensure all procedures and controls are clearly documented, maintained, and kept up to date
About You
* Strong technical understanding of investment fund pricing and valuation methodologies
* Previous experience within a NAV oversight or fund accounting environment
* Proven ability to establish and improve processes and controls
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
* Highly analytical with strong problem-solving skills
* Exposure to a variety of asset classes, including alternative investments
* Qualified accountant or qualified by experience
