Join us as a Hazards Engineer / Senior Hazards Engineer and play a vital role in assessing risks for our nuclear clients, supporting their low carbon energy ambitions, and shaping a better future for our planet and its people.
Your Purpose:
This role focuses on internal and external hazards assessments and analyses, emphasizing team leadership, technical excellence, and long-term client relationships. You may lead the delivery of high-profile hazards safety cases, interfacing with civil, process, or other engineering disciplines. Alternatively, you might develop innovative solutions to evaluate meteorological hazards impacting the UK nuclear fleet. Responsibilities could also include detailed analyses supporting hazard assessments such as fire, flooding, and seismic risks.
You will work with diverse clients from nuclear new build (including fusion and SMR), defense, and nuclear generation. You should be driven to support project delivery, solve complex technical problems, and communicate solutions effectively to stakeholders. Attention to detail and a strategic outlook are essential.
This position offers opportunities to collaborate with the global technical community within AtkinsRéalis, fostering multidisciplinary teamwork. You will also mentor junior engineers, supporting their development and enhancing our project capabilities while strengthening your leadership skills.
