A long-established and privately owned property and construction group is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their in-house construction team. You will play a key role in the commercial management of multiple new-build projects, supporting the delivery team through the full project lifecycle, and contributing to strategic commercial decisions.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the commercial aspects of construction projects from inception to final account
* Prepare and submit valuations in line with contract terms and ensure timely payments
* Produce accurate monthly CVRs and forecasts
* Procure and manage subcontractor packages, ensuring value for money and clarity of scope
* Administer main and subcontractor contracts, including the preparation of contractual notices
* Assess and agree variations, ensuring entitlement is maximised
* Work collaboratively with the delivery team, providing cost advice and assessing impact of site progress on budgets
* Finalise client and subcontractor accounts efficiently and maintain strong working relationships

Candidate Profile
* Experience in industrial or groundworks projects (preferred but not essential)
* Good working knowledge of JCT contracts
* Able to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
