About The Role
This vacancy is for Days 33hrs per week, working over a seven day rota.
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. You will help provide care in our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes, supporting residents who have their own stories to tell. You’ll have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to those people.
You will plan and implement care that gives residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence. You will get to know residents and their families to help deliver genuinely personalised care plans. You will lead a team of Care Assistants, maintain the highest standards of care, and influence the rest of the team. You may assist with activities such as showing someone how to use a walking frame, helping someone at the end of life to eat, or talking with a resident’s family, always with kindness as the guiding principle.
You will assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in providing essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, as well as administering medication. One key responsibility is to maintain accurate records and build strong relationships with the team.
Ideally, you’ll have completed a Level 2 Diploma S/NVQ in Adult Care and be prepared to work towards Level 3 qualification in Adult Care or equivalent, with a background in person-centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia. What’s essential is your positive energy and ability to get along with people. You’ll know what good record keeping looks like, manage your time effectively, and communicate with residents and co-workers with consideration and kindness.
