Base pay range
Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs required in Cambridgeshire.
Multiple positions are available, and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support.
We are on a mission to transform the quality of education provided to young people with SEN (Special Education Needs) / SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We are increasingly supporting children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties) and SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties).
We are looking for SEN / SEND tutors with a genuine passion for transforming the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners in Cambridgeshire.
At Targeted Provision, our mission is to raise the standard of educational support offered to vulnerable young people in the UK. We keep the team around the child, and you will be supported throughout every placement by our team of SEN / SEND Support Specialists.
This role is perfect for qualified SEN / SEND teachers eager to work via 1:1 tutoring with children and young people with various learning needs, in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed manner, to raise their engagement and drastically improve their educational journey.

The SEN / SEND Tutor Role
* Providing Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred by local authorities and schools
* Supporting these young people in their educational and social-emotional journey through flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
SEN / SEND Tutor Tasks and Responsibilities
* Planning each teaching, tutoring, or mentoring session
* Delivering holistic and engaging sessions tailored to meet individual needs and support their progress
* Completing lesson reports and providing feedback on the young person's development
SEN / SEND Tutor Requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years of teaching experience
* Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other needs
* Knowledge of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (assistance available to obtain at cost)
* Two professional references
* Based in the UK with the right to work, even for remote/online roles
It is essential that you can promote the health, safety, and wellbeing of children and young people, adhering to safeguarding policies at all times.
Employment Status
* This involves engaging with us as a Worker for short-term assignments
* Paid via PAYE, working through a contract for service
* No guaranteed hours or expenses coverage
* Insurance covers your work with us
* This is not a self-employed tutoring position
