Ableworld South Wales is looking for a Stairlift Engineer / Installer based around the Newport & Cardiff area. We are the largest Mobility and Stairlift retailer in the UK with 41 stores nationwide and over 200+ employees. We are looking to appoint a Stairlift Engineer / Installer who is looking to build a rewarding and a successful career in the Stairlift industry. It is not essential to have experience within stairlifts as you will be trained in the methods and procedures for installing, testing, upgrading, removing, repairing and maintaining all types of stairlift, straight and curved however, a mechanical or electrical background would be an advantage.
Duties will include, but not limited to:
* Visiting customers in their home to provide advice, assess and quotes on our stairlift products
* Offering a full customer service experience from quote to Install/repair/service and maintain Stairlifts (straight and curved)
* Installation of standard and bespoke stairlifts
* Attending customer call outs for repair and servicing of products
* Checking deliveries and good maintenance of stock
* Providing an out-of-hours call out service on a rota basis (for which a generous bonus is given)
What do we require from you?
* Computer literate, while knowledge of SAP Business One and Excel would be advantageous, it is not essential, as training will be given to successful candidates.
* Team-player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Have a positive, “can do” attitude and a desire to learn new tasks
* Good organisational skills is a must, as you will be required to prioritise your workload and meet set deadlines.
* Attention to detail is crucial, as you will be expected to produce accurate work with a high level of precision.
A full valid driving licence is essential for this role as a van will be provided along with a mobile phone, tablet and all the tools you need to carry out the job.
A permanent position will be subject to a clear DBS check for which Ableworld will meet the cost.
