We have exciting opportunities for Despatch Operators to join our team at Pilgrim's Europe – Redruth. In this role, you will ensure that all packed products are correctly wrapped, stored, and prepared for despatch in line with customer requirements, company standards, and safety regulations. You'll work flexibly across a variety of tasks including preparing, loading, transporting products, operating equipment, and maintaining a clean, safe working environment. Key Information Competitive Rates of Pay Contract Type: Fixed-term Shift: Monday to Friday Working Hours: 5:30 am - 14:30 pm Key Responsibilities Organise daily work activities and set priorities to meet production and despatch targets. Set up, run, and operate machinery and equipment to specification. Check products and materials to ensure they meet quality, safety and specification standards. Use appropriate equipment (e.g., pallet trucks, forklifts) to prepare, palletise, and transport products. Complete all relevant paperwork and maintain accurate traceability. Follow company despatch systems to load products into the correct holding bays. Prepare and load pallets for road transport and ensure stock rotation is followed. Monitor processes and recommend improvements where needed. Use SAP for booking and system updates (training provided). Maintain high Health & Safety and Hygiene standards. Report faults promptly to minimise downtime. Support problem solving and continuous improvement initiatives. Operate more complex machinery as required and work effectively as part of a team.
