Job Title Salaried GP – Part time (4 sessions, Tuesdays and Fridays 8:30 am – 6:30 pm)

Salary £11,000 per session (fixed‑term contract, 12 months)
Job Responsibilities
Deliver highly effective medical care to the entitled population.
Provide services in accordance with the GMS contract.
Prescribe generically following local and national guidance.
Manage long‑term conditions effectively.
Process administrative tasks promptly, including referrals, repeat prescriptions and other associated duties.
Act in a rotational role as duty doctor.
Maintain accurate clinical records in line with good practice, policy and guidance.
Share the practice workload equally and work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team.
Adhere to best practice through clinical guidelines and audit processes.
Implement continuous improvement and quality initiatives.
Take delegated responsibility for a specific QOF area.
Attend and contribute effectively to practice meetings as required.
Assist with clinical governance, training, financial management and HR development.
Ensure compliance with appraisal and revalidation processes.
Promote self‑learning and an ethos of continuing professional development.
Support training of medical students across clinical disciplines.
Advise partners on strategic aims, income enhancement and expenditure reduction.
Review practice protocols and policies continually.
Encourage collaborative working and a culture of continuous improvement.
Participate in practice audits and local initiatives to enhance patient care.
Conduct structured root‑cause analysis for significant and near‑miss events.
Person Specification
Recognised primary medical qualification (e.g., MBBS or equivalent).
Certificate of Completion of GP Training (CCT).
GP on NHS Performers List.
Full GMC registration.
Polite, professional, and confident communication style.
Passionate about delivering high‑quality clinical care.
Effective communication with patients, understanding their needs.
Flexible and open to change for continual improvement.
Supportive to colleagues.
Valid DBS and evidence of ongoing appraisals (where applicable).
