Our client is looking for an experienced, self-starting Business Development Manager to drive growth across our Facilities Management division. From office cleaning and groundworks to responsive maintenance and landlord support, their services are trusted by nationwide clients across a variety of commercial and industrial sectors.
This role is perfect for a proven B2B hunter who knows the FM space, is confident knocking on doors, pitching in person, and landing new contracts. This is not an operational role, this is a business development role and the focus of the role will be on new, not existing clients.
Your priority will not be managing sites or service delivery – the focus of this role is winning new business of which experience will be discussed at interview.
Details of the role:

Develop new client relationships across commercial, property, industrial and public sector FM contracts - both short and long term
*
Build and manage your own healthy pipeline of prospects and convert new opportunities to set sales targets
*
Conduct regular face-to-face meetings and site visits to understand client needs - this is not a desk research role.

Attend weekly and monthly sales meetings at our Borehamwood head office to discuss your sales pipeline
*
Maintain accurate sales records, lead tracking, and activity
The key skills our client is looking for:
*
Facilities Management sales experience is essential – ideally cleaning, grounds maintenance, general maintenance and repairs and property management
*
Demonstrable B2B sales success – opening doors, securing meetings, and closing deals.
*
At least 2 years in the sector working across a broad section of clients
*
Commercially minded and target-driven with a strong understanding of the FM buyer landscape
*
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
*
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for face-to-face sales as this is a field sales role
*
Able to attend weekly and monthly meetings in Borehamwood – you must live within commuting distance in order to be able to do this
