* Equipped with state‑of‑the‑art imaging technology, including two GE Discovery 870 DR SPECT/CT scanners and a GE Discovery 870 CZT SPECT camera.
* Supported by a growing, skilled team of Nuclear Medicine Technologists delivering high‑quality diagnostic imaging services.
Main duties of the job
We are seeking a Locum Consultant who is enthusiastic about Nuclear Medicine and has a desire to contribute to service development and translational research. The successful candidate will:
* Take a leadership role in the clinical delivery and future development of our Nuclear Medicine diagnostic and therapeutic services, with a commitment to quality
* Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and work collaboratively across specialties.
* Support ongoing research projects and help drive the expansion of clinical trials involving Nuclear Medicine diagnosis and therapy.
* Support the training of local medical, scientific and technical trainees and apprenticeships.
* Contribute to departmental governance, quality improvement and service evaluat
This is a 10 PA post, with a balanced mix of direct clinical care and supporting professional activities. The job plan includes:
* o 1.5 SPA for core revalidation, CPD, audit, and appraisal, as per national guidance.o Additional time allocated to support responsibilities in research, governance, and teaching,

Job responsibilities
Applicants must be on the Specialist Register for Nuclear Medicine or be within 6 months of CCT at the time of interview. Applications from dual-accredited candidates (e.g. Nuclear Medicine and Radiology) are welcome.
Experience in radionuclide therapy is desirable, but we would support and encourage the professional development of a suitable candidate in this area. An interest in contributing to clinical research will be strongly supported.

* Full registration and a license to practice with the GMC
* MBBS or equivalent
* MRCP or equivalent
* BLS or completion after commencement of post
* Management Training
* Qualification in leadership and/ or clinical management
* Teaching/Education Qualification
Experience
* Fully trained Nuclear Medicine Specialist
* Experience with delivery of radionuclide therapies
* Significant evidence of experience in clinical leadership
* Understand the principals of Clinical Governance
