We love bringing our young learners from around the world together through a common language and building global connections. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Location: Brighton, UK Reporting to: Commercial Operations Manager Fixed Term FT Contract: 3 months (June - August 2025) Located in our head office in Brighton and with the option of hybrid work, the commercial operations coordinator is primarily responsible for overseeing the completion and collation of financial documentation for our summer camps in the UK and North America. Reporting in to our commercial operations manager, this role supports in managing our key commercial processes and maximising cost effectiveness through cost control and accurate financial reporting. Key Responsibilities: Support the commercial operations manager to ensure accurate financial data is available both to the business and our key suppliers Manage financial documentation in close partnership with our summer camps in the UK and North America through weekly remote meetings Monitor, reconcile and report on accommodation occupancy ensuring alignment with head office records. Identify opportunities to maximise revenue and minimise risk Provide complete and accurate data on relevant areas of the business (ie accommodation and meals used) on a weekly basis to our host providers (universities, colleges, boarding schools) Support commercial operations manager with a real time view of weekly expenditure in the summer camps Manage the commercial processes in place across the business including but not limited to; accommodation allocation, client numbers, transport and attraction suppliers Support key supplier bookings and invoice reconciliation where appropriate Essential criteria: Educated to minimum undergraduate level Excellent organisational and admin skills Practical working knowledge of MS Office packages including Excel Desired criteria: Have studied, or currently studying a finance / economics / maths / business management degree Experience in a finance focused role, office administration, or commercial operations Understanding of financial processes and reporting Competent use of Microsoft Excel and ability to understand and manipulate data accurately Personal Attributes: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organisational and planning skills with exceptional attention to detail Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines Fluency in spoken English and advanced level of written English Ability to communicate well across multiple stakeholders with confidence, at times remotely Training & Induction: We provide both online and face to face training for all employees. We provide a compulsory staff onboarding process and ongoing training support as required. Organisational Compliance: The job holder will be expected to operate in accordance with the company’s Code of Conduct, and any local policies and operating procedures relating to academic, welfare and safeguarding matters. Employees are required to cooperate fully with all arrangements in place related to Health and Safety which include implementation and compliance with control measures resultant from risk assessments and engagement with, and completion of, any relevant Health and Safety training Disclosure and Barring Service: As the office is located in one of our schools, all staff are required to hold a valid DBS certificate. If you do not have a valid Enhanced DBS and are not subscribed to the DBS update service, we will need to apply for a new Enhanced DBS for you.
