Permanent Equine Veterinary Surgeon - Retford, Nottinghamshire

We are recruiting on behalf of a mixed animal practice in Retford for a Permanent Equine Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. This role is full time for 4 days per week with shifts between 8:30am and 5pm, along with 1 in 4 or 5 Saturday mornings with time off in lieu.

The role
11. The role offers a varied caseload with a mixture of consultations and surgeries
12. Your duties will involve vaccinations, dentistry, surgical procedures, lameness workups, portable digital radiography, breeding, sedation, ultrasonography, 5 stage vettings, client liaison, working up cases, treatment plans and visits
13. The practice are proud to provide their own OOH services so there will be some night shifts on a rota shared between the team

About you
25. They are looking for a vet who has a good level of experience both in medicine and surgery
26. You will have excellent communications skills and client facing skills
27. You will have a positive attitude and show empathy to both clients and team members
28. You will encourage ongoing development of the team
29. You will be a team player and be able to work in a collaborative manner
30. You will be comfortable working sole charge as this will be required
31. You will have experience in equine surgery and lameness
Package
32. Salary: Up to £70, per annum, commensurate to experience
33. Holidays: 6.6 weeks annual leave, increasing with service and birthday off
34. CPD: Generous allowance of £1, with 5 days to attend
