Our client, a historic family-run rural estate in Suffolk, is looking for an experienced Estates, Grounds & Maintenance Manager. This is a unique opportunity to maintain and enhance a diverse portfolio of farming and hospitality businesses.
Position Overview
In this key role, you will lead all maintenance efforts across a diverse rural business. You will manage a team to ensure the estate's grounds, venues, and accommodation are maintained to the highest standard, contributing directly to the success of this thriving destination.
Responsibilities
* Oversee all estate, grounds, and vehicle maintenance.
* Build, develop, and manage a proactive team.
* Maintain immaculate grounds and hospitality venues.
* Schedule and complete all works efficiently.
* Respond effectively to maintenance emergencies.
* Manage maintenance budgets and associated costs.
* Ensure and monitor all safety procedures.
* Undertake basic plumbing and electrical repairs.
Requirements
* Proven experience in grounds or estate maintenance.
* Experience using agricultural equipment like tractors and mowers.
* A good understanding of workplace Health & Safety.
* Ability to manage your workload and supervise others.
* A full, clean UK driving licence.
* Skills in basic plumbing and electrical work.
* Horticultural or trade certifications are desirable.
Benefits
* Live-in role with a three-bedroom cottage provided.
* An annual salary of £35,000.
* 28 days holiday, including bank holidays.
