Role Description
Kingswood Real Estate Advisory is looking for an experienced environmental professional to join our team on a flexible, part-time basis. This role is perfect for someone who wants meaningful, skilled work that fits around other commitments – whether that’s school hours, caring responsibilities, or a portfolio career.
You’ll be researching and drafting Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessments for properties across the UK, supporting investors, lenders, and asset managers with environmental due diligence. The work is primarily desk-based and can be done remotely.
What you’ll do:
• Conduct desk-based Phase 1 assessments (historical mapping, environmental settings, regulatory reviews, risk assessment)
• Produce clear, professional Phase 1 reports for transactional and refinancing due diligence
• Interpret environmental datasets from providers such as Landmark / Groundsure
• Assess contaminated land risk in line with current UK guidance and the ASTM E1527 standard
What we’re looking for:
• Degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Geography, or related field
• Experience writing Phase 1 / desk study reports in a UK consultancy environment
• Strong knowledge of UK contaminated land legislation (Part 2A, NPPF, LCRM)
• Excellent report writing skills and attention to detail
• Membership of IEMA, IES, or similar professional body is desirable
