About The Role
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our growing fintech firm and drive the next generation of our products. In this senior role, you will be the driving force behind our product strategy and execution.
You’ll own the end-to-end product lifecycle – from initial ideation and market research (in conjunction with our MI team), through development and launch, to ongoing performance optimisation and eventual retirement.
A key part of the role is supplier management: you\'ll oversee both internal teams and external vendors, ensuring they deliver on time, on budget, and in line with our quality standards by utilising a formal Supplier Management framework.
Equally important is your commercial acumen – you will analyse ROI, build business cases for new initiatives, and ensure every product and feature aligns with our company’s strategic goals and delivers tangible business value.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the full product lifecycle: Drive product development from concept and requirements gathering through to launch, in-life optimisation, and end-of-life retirement, ensuring a cohesive end-to-end process.
* Product portfolio representation: Manage and refine a portfolio of products, developing product strategy and roadmaps aligned with the organisation’s objectives and market opportunities.
* Market research & client insight: Represent the voice of the customer by engaging with clients and conducting market research. Monitor industry trends and competitor offerings to inform product decisions and identify new opportunities.
* Business case development: Develop robust business cases and perform ROI analyses for new products or major features. Present recommendations to senior management and obtain buy-in for investment decisions.
* Supplier & vendor management: Oversee relationships with internal delivery teams and external technology suppliers/partners. Use a Supplier Management framework to ensure third-party providers meet service level agreements, deliver value for money, and comply with regulatory standards.
* Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with Market Intelligence, Delivery teams, PMO, Sales, and Marketing teams to plan and execute product initiatives. Coordinate go-to-market strategies, ensuring product launches are well-prepared and supported across the business.
* Stakeholder communication: Act as a key product evangelist and point of contact for product knowledge. Communicate product vision, updates, and performance clearly to stakeholders at all levels, from development teams to executive leadership.
* Feature prioritisation & pricing: Define and prioritise product features and enhancements based on customer needs, data insights, and business impact. Guide pricing and positioning strategies to maximise market fit and profitability.
* Performance tracking & optimisation: After launch, monitor product performance against KPIs and user feedback. Lead continuous improvements and iterations to enhance product value, user experience, and ROI over time.
* Compliance & risk management: Ensure products and processes adhere to relevant financial regulations and internal compliance requirements. Proactively identify and mitigate product-related risks, keeping our offerings secure and trustworthy.
About You
Required Experience & Qualifications
* Proven product management experience: Extensive experience in product management, with a track record of delivering and managing technology products (fintech or financial services experience strongly preferred).
* End-to-end product delivery: Hands-on experience owning the entire product lifecycle from ideation and development through launch and beyond. Demonstrated ability to take a product from concept to market success.
* Supplier management expertise: Solid experience in managing external vendors and partners, as well as cross-functional internal teams. Familiarity with supplier/vendor management frameworks and ensuring third-party accountability.
* Strategic and commercial acumen: Strong business mindset with experience in shaping product strategy to meet business goals. Capable of conducting ROI analysis, building business cases, and aligning products with revenue targets.
* Data-driven decision-making: Experienced in using market research, analytics, and KPIs to drive decisions. Comfortable gathering and analysing data to guide product direction and measure success.
* Stakeholder engagement: Ability to collaborate and influence effectively across departments and at different organisational levels. Proven experience presenting product plans and updates to senior leadership and other key stakeholders.
* Industry knowledge: Good understanding of the fintech domain, including awareness of banking/payments industry trends and relevant regulatory considerations (e.g. PSD2, data protection) is an advantage.
* Education: ideally a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).
* Excellent communicator: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas and persuade stakeholders. Comfortable engaging with executive leadership and external clients alike.
* Adaptable & innovative: Be comfortable working outside of rigid frameworks in an owner led organisation, navigating through changing priorities.
* Integrity & accountability: Takes ownership of outcomes with a strong sense of responsibility and ethics. Reliable in delivering on commitments and conscientious about regulatory compliance and quality standards.
