Sales Account Manager
Pertemps is working on behalf of their client based in Much Wenlock to fill a full-time temporary ongoing sales account manager position within a successful sales team, available for the right candidate.
You will play a key role in driving revenue growth and expanding our market presence. You will build meaningful relationships with decision‑makers, gain a deep understanding of their challenges, and deliver tailored solutions that support their goals. Your contribution will be instrumental in growing our client base, strengthening our brand, and unlocking new business opportunities.
You will be identifying, researching and developing new business opportunities across key industries, building and maintaining strong relationships with decision‑makers and key accounts, maximising sales opportunities within existing accounts, and leading consultative sales conversations to uncover client needs and present tailored solutions.
In addition, you will manage the full sales cycle – from prospecting and pitching through to negotiation and closing, maintaining accurate CRM records to track activity, pipeline progress and performance, driving revenue growth through effective upselling and cross‑selling strategies, and efficiently organising administrative duties.
Tasks include raising sales orders and purchase orders accurately, ensuring all client records are kept fully up to date, managing incoming and outgoing emails and responding promptly, liaising with suppliers regarding orders and deliveries, booking installations onto the system, ensuring product availability and timely delivery, and supporting day‑to‑day sales office functions to contribute to the smooth running of the department.
Ideal Candidate
* Proven success in B2B sales and account management
* Strong consultative selling approach, with the ability to translate client needs into effective solutions
* Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
* Experience using CRM systems to manage pipelines and track activity
* Proactive, self‑motivated mindset and resilience in a target‑driven environment
* Strong team collaboration skills with the ability to work cross‑functionally to deliver client success
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Ideally, experience within a manufacturing environment (not essential)
* Willingness to attend occasional face‑to‑face client visits when required
