Overview
Job Summary: Applications are invited for the post of General Truck Sales Manager for the Mertrux group of dealerships. This is a full-time position based at our Derby Head Office but covering all Mertrux locations and reporting to the Dealer Principal. Covering both the Daimler Truck and Fuso product lines, your main objective will be to drive sales both in the local area and wider UK, including both Retail and Fleet Sectors. Create and deliver the Sales Strategy to exceed the sales targets, for both ICE and BEV vehicles.
Responsibilities
* Manage and develop a team of sales executives.
* Manage the sales administration department.
* Improve sales processes and ensure that all targets, standards and processes are adhered to in line with franchise contract arrangements.
* Sales of vehicles and value-added products such as repair and maintenance contracts, telematics and subscription services.
* Support all members of the sales department and have effective communication with the Senior Management team across the business.
* Lead with a highly visible, hands-on leadership style; demonstrate an established track record in sales, profit delivery, cost control, stock management and people development.
* Plan, organise, direct, coach and motivate the sales team to succeed.
* Mertrux will invest in the right person and provide the training and support needed to grow with the company.
Qualifications
* Knowledge of the Commercial Automotive Industry is essential.
* Proficient computer literacy skills.
* Experience of supervising a team to deliver consistent high performance.
* You should be a confident communicator and able to achieve results by developing others.
