About the Role

As a Pastoral Support Officer, you will help create a safe, respectful, and nurturing school environment. This will include providing 1:1 and small-group support to help students develop resilience, positive behaviour, and confidence.

Key Responsibilities

* Act as a trusted adult for students with emotional or behavioural needs
* Oversee reflection or reset spaces to encourage restorative practice
* Assist with safeguarding responsibilities and escalate concerns appropriately
* Build positive relationships with students, staff, parents/carers, and external agencies
* Promote resilience, inclusion, and respectful behaviour across the school

Who We're Looking For

* Experience working with young people (schools, youth work, mentoring, or similar)
* A calm, empathetic, and confident approach to supporting students
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* Ability to manage sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion
* A team player passionate about student wellbeing and inclusion

What You'll Gain

* Full-time role with potential to become permanent
* Weekly pay at competitive daily rates
* Free CPD including safeguarding, mental health, and behaviour training
* A supportive school environment with a collaborative pastoral team
* The opportunity to make a real difference in young people's lives
