We are seeking a motivated and organised individual to join our Engineering Programme Management team onsite in Plymouth for a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract (12-month fixed-term contract running from August 2026 to August 2027). This is a fully onsite role providing direct support to the Engineering Programme Manager and Project Engineers across a range of engineering and development programmes. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting project coordination, reporting, planning, and programme delivery within a fast-paced engineering environment.
What You Will Do
Work within the Engineering Programme Management team providing direct support to the Engineering Programme Manager and Project Engineers.
Responsibilities
* Tracking and reporting programme metrics relating to resource, cost, and schedule
* Inputting and maintaining project data within Engineering Control Tower
* Setting up and supporting monthly Engineering Project Reviews
* Supporting bid and proposal activities, including administration of BidMaster.Web (BMW) tools
* Generating and maintaining simple project plans
* Producing materials and supporting Finance Project Reviews
* Coordinating project meetings and taking minutes
* Providing hands‑on support to development programmes, including potential lab-based activities
Minimum Qualifications
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience within a project support, engineering, or operations environment
* Minimum ONC/HNC qualification (or equivalent) with an engineering related focus
Key Skills
* Ability to generate, maintain and track project plans
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Preferred Qualifications
* Proficiency in Microsoft Project
* Experience supporting bids and proposals
* Previous experience working within an engineering environment
