Position Overview
The Production Team Leader (PM Shift) oversees daily operations across the Solution Shop and Small Decant Area to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable production performance. This role leads and develops a team of operatives, supports achievement of the production schedule, and drives continuous improvement. The position works closely with senior operatives and cross‑functional teams to maintain high standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence.
Primary Responsibilities
1. Lead the PM shift and ensure safe, efficient execution of production activities.
2. Align daily priorities, resource planning, and performance with the Production Manager and Senior Operatives.
3. Allocate operatives based on competence and production needs.
4. Communicate targets clearly and monitor progress throughout the shift.
5. Adjust resources based on changes to the production schedule.
6. Maintain housekeeping standards and embed 5S principles.
7. Oversee PPE use and ensure compliance with national and company safety standards.
8. Conduct start‑of‑shift meetings, SIC meetings, and complete accurate handovers.
9. Secure the site safely at end of shift.
10. Record and analyze production data to identify constraints and improvement opportunities.
Minimum Requirements
11. Experience leading production teams in a manufacturing environment.
12. Strong understanding of SOPs, work instructions, and safety protocols.
13. Ability to operate and monitor production equipment.
14. Competent IT user, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
15. Ability to maintain accurate records in ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA training provided).
16. Strong decision‑making and problem‑solving capability.
17. Effective communication skills at all levels.
Preferred Requirements
18. Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., 5S, Lean, Six Sigma).
19. Experience conducting risk assessments in partnership with Compliance or EHS teams.
20. Background in managing performance reviews, T&A, and basic employee relations actions.
21. Experience developing SOPs, one‑point lessons, or similar documentation.
