Family run Italian restaurant now looking to hire a new Pizza / Pasta chef to join our great team.
We are open 7 days a week but our chefs work 4 x 12 hour shifts per week. (overtime hours also available)

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional dining experiences. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a strong background in food production, culinary arts, and team management to showcase their leadership skills within a vibrant hospitality environment.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
* Supervise kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management
* Oversee food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with health regulations
* Manage food inventory, ordering supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
* Develop new menu items in collaboration with the head chef and management team
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area at all times
* Assist in serving customers during busy periods, ensuring excellent customer service
* Monitor food quality throughout the preparation process to uphold high standards
* Lead by example to foster a positive, efficient, and professional kitchen environment
Requirements
* Proven experience in a culinary or kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
* Supervising experience is highly desirable
* Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food hygiene
* Skilled in food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation standards
* Excellent team management and leadership abilities
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Good organisational skills with attention to detail
* Experience in food production and restaurant service is preferred
* Passion for culinary arts and delivering outstanding customer experiences
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £16.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 48 per week
