We are working on behalf of a PE backed and values-driven growing business in the search for their new General Manager in Electrical & Compliance Services.

This new position will be pivotal in driving the growth trajectory for electrical compliance, working closely with the senior leaders - using your experience to deliver commercial objectives & insight, and designing & delivering strategies to support sustainable growth.

Responsibilities -
* Partnering with the senior leadership team, provide a solid commercial strategy underpinned by market trends in the electrical sector, to leverage future opportunities, with a mindset of continuous-improvement.
* Map the existing customer and client base to identify potential business expansion and growth.
* Using your previous expertise in your journey from tools to leadership, to mentor and upskill employees in the electrical team, identify skills gaps and offer coaching/training.
* Continue to build on the client-focused approach, ensuring that all communications are professional and accurate, reflect the company's values and ensure complete satisfaction with all services.
* Maintain and ensure compliance with all legislation and statutory testing requirements.
* Gain a significant market share by identifying key partners, winning and delivering profitable business.
* Lead large bids, working closely with the group Bids team to maximise on opportunities.
* Build and deliver a strong pipeline to ensure profitable and sustainable growth.
* Understand the competitive landscape, research, analyse the data and be confident in presenting your findings to the senior leadership team.
Qualifications and Skills:
* 18th Edition - IET Wiring Regulations & City & Guilds 2365 Diploma in Electrical Installations, and/or other relevant qualifications/licenses.
* Demonstrable experience leading a team within the electrical sector.
* Track record of the planning and execution of strategic initiatives.
* The ability to evidence genuine business growth.
* In-depth experience and knowledge of industry practises and regulations in electrical compliance and testing.
* Emotional intelligence, diplomatic communication and strong interpersonal skills.
