We have an exciting opportunity at our City Campus Manchester to join our Creative Industries Department as a Graphics Teacher on a permanent, part-time (28 hours per week) basis.

We welcome applications from aspiring teachers who are passionate about sharing their industry skills. At The Manchester College, you will be supported by our Teaching Academy to work towards qualified teacher status for post 16 compulsory education, through a Cert Ed/PGCE. This includes 3-4 hours delivery per week and engagement with a mentor to support your progress in the profession while you work. The starting salary for an unqualified teacher is between £28,300.00 – £30,307.50*. It’s a great way to kick-start a rewarding career with full training and support. Once you’ve successfully qualified and demonstrated your teaching competence, you’ll progress to the qualified teacher salary banding.
*Consideration will be given to relevant industry experience and skills with the flexibility to offer increased starting salaries in some circumstances*.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will need:
12. Certificate of education or PGCE.
13. Current and valid industry specialism.
14. Assessor qualifications (if required by Awarding Organisation).
15. Minimum Level 3 occupational qualification.
16. English and maths minimum level 2 Grace C or grade 4 and above.
17. Professional experience in Graphic Design or Media related subject, with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse projects.
18. A demonstrable track record of effective teaching and delivery to post 16 students at level 2 and level 3.
19. Knowledge and experience of working with a range of vocational awarding bodies and the internal verification process.
20. Proficient knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud.
21. Deliver high-quality, learner-focused education that nurtures creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration.
22. Supervise and develop the curriculum, ensuring compliance with the curriculum framework quality standards, best practise and achievement targets are met.
23. Foster a supportive learning environment where students can explore and succeed.
