Electrical Engineer Manager – Full-Time, Permanent (West Bromwich)
Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 4:30pm (40 hours per week)
£40,000 - £45,000 per annum, dependent on experience
People Solutions are currently recruiting for an Electrical Engineer to join our well-established client based in West Bromwich on a full-time permanent basis.
This position reports to the Electrical and Instrumentation Manager, and we are looking to recruit for an immediate start.

Day-to-Day Duties:
* Lead and manage all maintenance and planned preventative maintenance activities, including inspections
* Undertake minor project work involving the design, specification, and installation of electrical systems
* Supervise a team of four electrical personnel and manage external contractors
* Act as the Company’s Technical Authority on all electrical matters
* Ensure electrical operations meet safety, health, and environmental regulations and company procedures
* Support and develop a safe working culture within the department
* Liaise with internal departments and external contacts such as suppliers, contractors, and regulatory bodies (e.g., HSE, EA)
* Manage the training and development of all electrical team members
* RQF Level 3 qualification (e.g. Full City & Guilds Level 3) in a practical electrical discipline
* Minimum of five years post-qualification experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
* At least two years in a supervisory electrical role
* Strong organisational and multitasking skills to manage complex projects and shifting priorities
* Sound understanding of electrical maintenance and project work in an industrial setting
* Knowledge or experience in ATEX (CompEx) area classification, design, installation, inspection, and commissioning (training will be provided if required)
* Experience working with external regulatory bodies such as HSE and the EA
* Budget and cost control experience for maintenance and capital works
Training:
* Full ATEX (CompEx) training provided if not already qualified
* Ongoing technical and compliance training
* Support with leadership and supervisory skills development
