You should be experienced in planning inspiring activities for children aged 0-5 to explore and enjoy.Hours, Salary & Benefits:Hours: 20 - 40 hours per week, 4.5 days Year round role.Contract type: Permanent roleSalary: £13.25 - £13.45 ph / £27,560.00 - £27976.00 paBenefits:* 50% fee discount for the sessions your child attends on the days you work in the nursery* 5% employer pension* Shopping discount card* Access to the group's counselling scheme* 3 x days of paid CPD / training per year* 20 days holiday per year, rising by one day a year to a maximum of 25, for every year of employment* Access to fully funded apprenticeships* Extra day off for birthday* Personal accident at work cover* Staff uniform provided**Responsibilities*** You will create a stimulating environment for children and oversee the planning and implementation of activities.* You will liaise with and fully support your age group leader giving voice to any concerns from your team that you feel unable to resolve adequately for the benefit of the children.* You will support your team by making sure that they have the opportunity to bring forward ideas, or raise concerns, at an appropriate time (eg by holding short but regular meetings).* Ensuring the overall smooth running of your team for the benefit of the children.* Ensuring that targets are met – as agreed with Nursery Manager/Deputy Manager.* Ensuring that records are kept accurately, in a timely fashion, and safely stored.* To attend staff meetings and parents’ evenings as required; to participate in planning and implementing projects; and to offer suggestions for new activities.* To undertake training with a view to furthering knowledge/ experience, or to refresh existing skills.
