Job Description:
You will be working for a Top 50 global freight forwarder, with 97 offices in 25 countries, providing access to logistics professionals worldwide. We leverage enthusiasm, experience, and resources to reduce costs, improve product availability, and increase responsiveness throughout our client's global supply chains.
Reporting directly to the Shift Manager, the successful individual will be responsible for supporting the management team in delivering the operation effectively to satisfy customer needs and meet standards and timescales. This is a highly autonomous and fast-paced role requiring flexibility, attention to detail, and motivation.
Job Purpose:
To manage staff to ensure operations align with the company's vision and customer SLA, managing customer service aspects and resolving issues promptly to prevent service failure, while promoting organizational goals.
Duties include but are not limited to:
* Managing daily operations and team development.
* Creating and maintaining KPI and management reports.
* Overseeing processes to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
* Achieving high standards of productivity, quality, and stock accuracy.
* Fostering respect among team members.
* Analyzing stock and updating management and customers.
* Building effective communication with stakeholders.
* Prioritizing work to meet deadlines within budget.
* Motivating staff and maintaining operational standards.
* Promoting continuous improvement and training.
* Ensuring health & safety compliance and conducting audits.
* Maintaining housekeeping standards.
* Responding to customer requests constructively.
* Escalating issues to senior management timely.
* Performing additional duties as needed, with flexibility for peak periods.
